The onboarding and training process for behavior technician (BT) position plays a critical role in ensuring clinical quality but often represents a significant organizational cost. Training costs escalate with increased turnover and extended onboarding timelines. This case study details a collaboration between a training and performance management organization and a multi-state ABA provider to evaluate and redesign the BT training and onboarding process. The redesigned model emphasized streamlined content delivery, competency-based performance milestones, and enhanced supervisor engagement. A mixed-method evaluation examined the impact of these changes on key performance indicators (KPIs), including onboarding duration, technician retention, and clinical performance metrics. . Lessons learned are discussed across the design, development, and implementation stages, highlighting practical strategies to address barriers and sustain gains. This project illustrates how data-informed process redesign can meaningfully improve workforce readiness and organizational outcomes in ABA service delivery.
