RBT® Essentials: 40-Hour Training for Behavior Technicians (2026 Edition) is aligned with both the 2022 and BACB®’s 2026 RBT (3rd Edition) 40-Hour Training Requirements and Curriculum Outline, effective January 1, 2026.
This training fully prepares students for the updated RBT exam based on the 3rd Edition RBT Test Content Outline and incorporates requirements from the 2nd Edition. The course covers all tasks from the Registered Behavior Technician® Test Content Outline and meets the BACB’s 40-hour training requirement for RBT certification. It is offered independent of the BACB®.

Time Limit
Students have up to 180 days from registration to complete the course and may not finish in fewer than 5 days. These restrictions cannot be altered.
